Mark Twain Nominees… my FAVORITE book award. I may be a little partial I have taught 3rd-5th graders for 14 years if you include my two (getting ready to start three) years working as the library tech/aid in my building. Of course as I have stated before I was born and raised in Missouri and have spent all my life (except two summer months in Colorado) in Missouri.

If you are unfamiliar with the Mark Twain Award… you should visit the MASL (Missouri Association of School Librarians) website. www.maslonline.org

I will add many links to my other blogs and pages as I post more and more on my Mark Twain Lists. Starting with the Winners from each year starting with the first winner in 1972, Sounder by William H. Armstrong.

Mark Twain Winners

As I blog on each year I will link them below. I will start with the current year (2017-2018) and update them as time goes on. This year I will be featuring two past school years nominees in hopes of reintroducing a new group of students to some great books. The first year I am going to feature is 2003-2004. This was my first year of teaching and thus my first real introduction to the Mark Twain Nominees.
