I am one lucky mom! My boys love books! They also have their favorites. Sometimes I want to cry when they pick the SAME book over and over…but guess what they are learning to read.

Currently, Logan’s (he is my 3.5 year old) favorite is the Paw Patrol book Ice Team by   . He loves saying Skye’s catch phrase, “This pup has got to fly”. Honestly… I am so ready to read something new but my 1.5 year old, Jacob, has started reciting parts of the book! He is reading too!

We also read one or two Llama, Llama board books every night.Jacob picks up every book and starts reading, “Llama, llama…Llama, llama”. This just warms my heart. I bought the set of board books from Logan’s book order because he had enjoyed hearing Llama, Llama Red Pajamas when he came to my school. Turns out Jacob has latched on to the books.

It should come as no surprise that I have been reading to the boys since they were in the womb. Each night when I was pregnant with Logan I would read aloud a book. My two favorites were Snuggle Up, Sleepy Ones by Claire Freedman and of course “Stand Back,” Said the Elephant, ” I’m Going To Sneeze! ”  by Patricia Thomas. Jacob got to hear a variety of books while in the womb due to Logan’s nightly story time.

Thanks to this book loving momma my boys have NO shortage of books… board books, paperbacks for special reading and of course a small collection of books signed by authors.

I would like to start a regularly scheduled blog post about the books I read with my boys and ones they read to me! I would love to hear from you too… What books can you decide in your sleep?
